Does Gaia Environmental have an age restriction?
Yes, you must be over the age of 18 to apply.
Are Gaia student interns paid?
Yes, all interns are paid dependent upon previous experience and qualifications.
I do not consider myself an outdoor enthusiast. Can I still apply?
Yes. Though many of our applicants consider themselves outdoor enthusiasts you do not have to be one in order to apply.
Can I get college or university academic credit for an internship?
It may be a possibility. Please discuss with your college or university academic counselor to see if it would qualify. You may also have them contact us directly if they have questions.
Are Gaia programs and internships only for natural resource majors?
No. The majority of our applicants do have an academic background in natural resources, science, or environmentalism. However, this is not a requirement for our applicants.
I no longer attend a college or university. Am I still able to apply?
Yes. It is not a requirement that you are currently enrolled at a college or university to be considered for our programs or internships.
Is cost of travel and lodging provided for during the internship or project?
Yes. Travel and lodging is provided for at no cost to you in addition to an hourly wage.
I am looking for a full-time position with Gaia Environmental. Where can I find more information on positions being offered?
Here at Gaia Environmental we like to promote within. Previous interns are eligible to apply to open full-time positions when available. Is it possible to attend college or university courses while working as in intern for Gaia Environmental?
Potentially. However, internships and projects at the very least will last two weeks and require the intern to work 40 hours a week or more. It is also common that our projects will require us to be in remote areas within National Parks away from internet and cell coverage.
